I'm upgrading the bearings in my SC10(ceramic yellow seal Boca) and was wondering while I've got the Transmission open and access to the diff is there anything else I should do while I'm in there? The truck is new. 2 lipo packs run on it.
Our Answer
If the truck is brand new, there isn't much you need to do. Everything should be relatively clean. If anything looks dirty, especially the bearings (which you are replacing) you need to clean them up.
One thing you can do is open up the diff and add some more black grease to it. You could also get rid of the grease from the diff and put differential fluid in there, depending on your tuning preference.
