RC Tuning 101 - The RC Handbook by Scott Guyatt

SC10 tuning guide

Tuning your SC10 can be confusing, especially for a beginner. Thankfully we found a great tuning guide on the Team Associated website (RC10.com) that explains general RC tuning in a concise handbook.

The guide was originally written by Scott Guyatt, an Australian local hobby shop owner, because he wanted to help some of the local kids set up their vehicles. Associated has taken this article and updated it over the years and it has proven to be the best, and most concise guide on RC tuning.

Is there any way of getting more speed out of my SC10?

Throw it off of a cliff! It will definitly go faster.

Had some bad batteries, new ones solved it! Thanks...

What could cause my SC10 to shut off after two or three minutes of driving? Steering still works but light on the esc flashes!

batteries need to be charged, or loose wires where throttle wire is not solidly connected at receiver or to motor. Transmitter batteries could be low and getting mixed signals, conflict with another transmitter or source if not a 2.4gig transmitter. Could even be a bum motor that once it warms up it could be seizing. Go simple first and check all batteries! Then wires, then switch a motor in and see if same thing happens on a motor stand. Good luck and let us know.
