What is a good servo upgrade for my SC10? I am looking for durability, torque, and speed in that order.

Our Answer

I have been using the hi-torque servo w/metal gears from Futaba for about 9 months. It has worked well for me and is fairly affordable. If you are looking for durability then metal gears are the way to go. I'll let the TeamSC10.com readers post their recommendations as well.

Buy the Futaba S3305 High-Torque Servo w/metal gear

Post below if you have a servo you want to recommend to other SC10 owners.

Team Blue Star has come out with aluminum shocks for the SC10. If you have come across these shocks and considered purchasing them, you might want to think again. If you haven't seen them, you can check them out here - http://www.teambluestar.com/sc10shocks.htm

I have a stock SC10 Rockstar RTR. Is the ESC programmable with this truck? I can't keep the brakes from locking up everytime I go to slow down, the rear tires skid and lock up. thanks

Our Answer

The ESC that comes with the SC10 RTR has several brake options. Go through the set up of your ESC again and re-program the brake setting per the instruction manual.

If you are still having problems with the brakes after redoing the initial setup and re-programming the brake setting, contact Team Associated about the problem here - http://www.teamassociated.com/support/

Do you know if anyone makes a green anodized screw or hardware set fo the sc10? I see blue everywhere but no green. Would really help me out. Thanks Nick

Our Answer

Blue seems to be the color of choice for "bling" (hop-ups that have color, usually aluminum parts). We looked for a green set of screws but could not find one. Maybe an TeamSC10.com reader can help you out.

Please comment below if you know where to find a green anodized screw kit for the SC10.

I'm upgrading the bearings in my SC10(ceramic yellow seal Boca) and was wondering while I've got the Transmission open and access to the diff is there anything else I should do while I'm in there? The truck is new. 2 lipo packs run on it.

Our Answer

If the truck is brand new, there isn't much you need to do. Everything should be relatively clean. If anything looks dirty, especially the bearings (which you are replacing) you need to clean them up.

One thing you can do is open up the diff and add some more black grease to it. You could also get rid of the grease from the diff and put differential fluid in there, depending on your tuning preference.

i bought new s10 and it seems so slo. how fast should it be out of the box?

Our Answer

The stock SC10 RTR with a brushed motor is going to be a little slow. Most people are running brushless motor with LiPo battery packs, which will get your SC10 over 30 MPH. If you are running against people with a brushless/LiPo setup, you will be a big disadvantage if you have the stock brushed motor and NiMh packs.
